George W. Bush's Memoir Set for Release in November

George W. Bush was real president that commanded respect if not fear from our enemies.

Today, well...that's not the case.

Do you miss him yet?

I sure do considering what has happened since the community organizer and soft tosser has taken residence in the White House.

In time I believe Bush’s approval rating will crisscross with Obama’s as his continues to rise as Obama’s continues to sink.

From The New York Post:

Former President George W. Bush’s memoir, “Decision Points,” is set for release on November 9, Crown Publishers announced Monday.

The book will center on “the fourteen most critical and historic decisions” of Bush’s presidency, the publisher said in a press release. It will take readers inside the Texas Governor’s Mansion on the night of the 2000 presidential election and aboard Air Force One following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The memoir will also describe Bush’s “historic and controversial decisions on the financial crisis, Hurricane Katrina, Afghanistan, Iran and other issues that have shaped the first decade of the 21st century,” the publisher said.

The former president also discusses his decision to stop drinking, his discovery of faith, his relationships with his family, as well as his flaws and mistakes.

Bush, who has stayed out of the media spotlight since the end of his presidency, will embark on a national book tour following the memoir’s publication.

Boobquake Day Yields 6.9 Earthquake in Taiwan

What does the Bible say about testing the Lord your God?

From The New York Post:

Boobquake, a day of action that calls on women worldwide to dress scandalously and prove wrong an Iranian cleric who blames natural disasters on immodest cleavage, has started disastrously, news.com.au reported Monday.

At 11am (local time), a 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan, no doubt causing thousands of Boobquake fans to hastily button up.

MORE ABOUT BOOBQUAKE DAY

Although Boobquake founder
Jennifer McCreight, of Indiana., has claimed that the quake does not count because it happened outside her Boobquake time zone, she admitted on her blog that the wobble was significant, but not unusual.

"On avg, 134 magnitude 6-6.9 earthquakes occur annually," she wrote on her Twitter feed, before following it up on her blog with: "If we get many of a similar magnitude in the next 24 hours, we might start worshipping the power of immodesty."

Blogger McCreight called on women to show as much cleavage as possible on Monday in order to prove Iranian cleric Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi wrong for claiming that promiscuous women were responsible for causing earthquakes.

"Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes," Sedighi said last week.

Meanwhile "saddened" by the frivolousness of Boobquake, a new Facebook group is calling for "Brainquake," a day for women to "show off their resumes, CVs, honors, prizes, and accomplishments."

Democrats Dispatch Rev Al Sharpton to Arizone to Fight Immigration Lasw

So predictable.

The Democrat party has dispatched one of the favorite weapons, the Rev Al Sharpton, a professional race-hustler, shakedown artist and house Negro for the Left to the state of Arizona to agitate and intimidate the public into believing that everyone else is a racist, except him.

Sharpton by the way runs a non-profit called the National Action Network. And if you’re a regular reader of TLT, I have frequently made a point of saying the Democrats love to use non-profits to steal taxpayer money.

Al baby is no different.

Taken from Wikipedia:

Tax controversies
The United States and the New York State governments have investigated the organization for tax payment irregularities. As late as 2006 (the most recent year for which documents are available), the National Action Network owes $1.9 million in payroll taxes and penalties.[2]
Recently, many donors to the National Action Network have been subpoenaed as part of the probe, including Anheuser-Busch.[2]

Controversial Donations
Sharpton has engaged in controversial donation policies — specifically the practice of threatening protests and boycotts of corporations while simultaneously soliciting donations and sponsorships from them.[2] According to the New York Post, several major corporations, including Anheuser-Busch and Colgate-Palmolive, have donated thousands of dollars to the National Action Network. The Post asserted that the donations were made to prevent boycotts or rallies by the National Action Network.[3]

From The New York Post:

The Rev Al Sharpton is joining Lillian Rodriguez Lopez from the Hispanic Federation to announce a legal challenge to the bill. They say activists are also prepared to commit civil disobedience to fight the Arizona immigration bill.
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed the bill Friday. It requires police to question people about their immigration status — including asking for identification — if they suspect someone is in the country illegally.

The law will take effect in late July or early August.

President Barack Obama has called the new law "misguided" and has instructed the Justice Department to examine it to see if it's legal.

Has the president disclosed his citizenship status yet?

Since P Diddy came up in the debate

Ode to John Wayne and Bring America Back

We used to stand tall like you

We used know the difference between right and wrong

Today America cowers like its afraid of the dark

Afraid to admit she’s strong and true and tries to apologize for what she didn’t do

We could lose it all if we don’t change course

Forever to be like an old lame horse

Election Day November 2010

You know what to do

New Giants/Jets Stadium Filled with View-Obstructing Seats

My gripe about this deal is they shouldn’t put a seat behind a damn beam and expect somebody to pay for it. That’s truly low.

From The New York Post:

What a bunch of blockheads!

These are the worst seats in the
new $1.7 billion Meadowlands football stadium -- so bad the Giants and Jets scrapped selling tickets for them because the only action fans would see is paint peeling on the massive columns in front of them.

Each of the two end-zone mezzanine sections has four pillars supporting the upper deck -- unsightly and archaic steel structures that experts say are routinely avoided in modern stadium design.

Behind each column are rows of seats where views of the gridiron are fully obscured -- 59 seats in total. Some others have limited sightlines.

"The fact that there are columns in there and possibly obstructed-view seating is a joke," said a Jet season-ticket holder and New Jersey resident who spotted the upright eyesores during a walk-through of the stadium last weekend.

The steel curtain affects sections 201, 202B, 203B, 249B and 250B in one end zone and 224B, 225B, 226, 227B and 228B in the other.

The kicker is that fans in those affected sections must pay for a personal seat license -- a $4,000 one-time fee -- and then shell out another $1,200 each season for tickets to eight regular-season and two preseason games.

Some of America's pre-eminent stadium designers were shocked by the architectural oddities.

Famed New York architect Peter Eisenman, who designed the 63,400-seat Phoenix Cardinal stadium that opened in 2006, said his Arizona structure and the 80,000-seat Dallas Cowboy stadium, which debuted last season, don't have columns.

Iranian Imam Says Promiscuous Scantily Clad Women Cause Earthquakes: Boobquake Protest on Monday

You can’t make this up!

I just hope this protest doesn’t blow up in our faces.

From The New York Post:

New York women are ready to move heaven and earth to join the "Boobquake."

A worldwide protest against a wacky Muslim imam -- who claims that scantily clad women cause earthquakes -- is getting magnitude-9.0 support in the Big Apple, where women told The Post yesterday that they will flash some skin Monday as part of a female rebellion to fight back against the holy man's loony pseudoscience.

"I think [the imam] is a crock," said Maria Petrou, 29, a customer-service rep from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. "I normally dress on the sexy side, but on Monday, I'll be sure to dress sexier. I'll wear a low-cut shirt."

The protest, dubbed "Boobquake," is the brainchild of Purdue University senior and blogger Jennifer McCreight.

She is suggesting that women should wear revealing outfits Monday as a slap in the face to
Iranian cleric Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi, who said, "Many women who do not dress modestly . . . [and] lead young men astray . . . which increases earthquakes."

Anger over Sedighi's goofy geological theory has prompted some 45,000 people online to pledge to join McCreight and take some off Monday in order to stick it to the cleavage-hating cleric. Yesterday, many New Yorkers pledged to join them by turning up their couture heat to volcanic levels.

"Science will let you know what causes an earthquake," said Carlotta Malloy, a 32-year-old lingerie- shop manager from Brooklyn. "It's science, not breasts, that contribute to natural disasters. It's not about women's fashion.

"Monday, I totally would dress sexy," she added. "I will probably wear something off the shoulder and some cut jeans. Sexy is your personality, not necessarily your boobs hanging out."

Eve Udesky, 32, of Sunnyside, Queens, said, "Sure, I'll dress up to prove a point.

"I think it's important for a woman to dress the way they want to dress."

Linda Piris, 29, a Health Department worker from Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, said: "I would dress sexy in solidarity if I wasn't almost eight months pregnant."

Meanwhile, the protest continued to boil at McCreight's Web site, where she was even getting comments from Sedighi's countrywomen.

"I live in Iran," one writer said. "Sedighi is . . . crazy. There is no logic behind his saying [this], and his talk is shameful.

"Most of the people in Iran always laugh at this [man] when he talks every Friday."
