Stick a Fork in GZ Moaque: Most Powerful Politician in New York Sheldon Silver is Against It

Ballgame Over!

Turn Out the Lights!

That’s all she wrote!

The Fat Lady has just sung!

As a lifetime New Yorker, believe me when I tell you that nothing happens in New York State without Sheldon Silver’s blessing!

Contrary to what outsiders in the world may think, the most powerful man in New York politics, hands down, is an Orthodox Jew from the tough streets of the Lower East Side.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg painfully learned this lesson a few years ago when he fought tooth and nail to build a football stadium for the New York Jets on the Westside of Manhattan.

Bloomberg tried every maneuver he could think of and mounted the biggest public relations campaign this city has ever seen.

And it was all for nothing because Silver gave the stadium his thumbs down and squashed Bloomberg like a cockroach.

Silver has served in the state assembly for over 30 years. He’s been Assembly Speaker since 1994 and he knows where all the bodies are buried in New York.

So although this controversy may go on for quite a while longer, it’s all over but the shouting.

The New York Post reports that a powerful state politician joined with Gov. David Paterson on Tuesday in suggesting that Islamic leaders should move a proposed Islamic center and mosque farther from ground zero, saying the organizers should be more sensitive to opponents.

The Cordoba Initiative has the right to build the center at a building two blocks from Ground Zero but should be open to compromise, said New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, who represents the lower Manhattan district.

“In the spirit of living with others, they should be cognizant of the feelings of others and try to find a location that doesn’t engender the deep feelings the currently exist about this site,” Silver said.

Critics say the building is too close to where Islamic extremists destroyed the World Trade Center on 2001 and killed nearly 2,800 people. Supporters say religious freedom should be protected.

“I think the sponsors should take into very serious consideration the kind of turmoil that’s been created and look to compromise,” Silver said.

Paterson, who has expressed dismay over the heated arguments on the issue, was meeting Tuesday with New York Roman Catholic Archbishop Timothy Dolan to try to suggest an alternative.

Meanwhile, the developer was expected to attend an annual dinner Tuesday night hosted by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has spoken in support of the project.

American Parable: A Story of Islamic Values in America

Lincoln, Nebraska in the year 2110

Alice, age 14, said to her parents, “I’m converting to Islam!”

“What!” her father replied.

“But, this is a Christian house?” her mother said with tears welling in her eyes.

The next morning Alice’s parents went to see their pastor.

“We just have to pray for Alice,” the pastor, “Jesus will bring her back to us. Nothing is impossible for Him.”

Alice’s parents both agreed and the three of hem joined in prayer as the tears continued to flow from both her parents.

Naget, age 14, said to her parents, “I’m converting to Christianity!”

“What!” her father replied

Her mother stood silent.

The next morning, Naget was leaving for school. She said goodbye to her parents, but they ignored her and turned their backs.

She met up with her girlfriends that were waiting for her in front of her house. Other neighbors were either leaving for school or going to work.

The street was filled with people.

“Naget!” her father yelled, “You forgot your lunch!”

“I’ll be right back,” Nagat told her friends.

She jogged back to the front of her house where her father was holding a brown paper bag.

“Thanks Daddy,”

Her father pulled back the bag, swung an ax and chopped off Naget’s head for everyone to see.

“Allahu Akbar” he said.

“She had it coming,” one of her friends said.

“Yeah, what was she thinking? This is America.”

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Do you want Sharia Law for America?

Muslims in this country including the Imam behind the Ground Zero Mosque does. Sharia courts already exist in European countries and they want to bring it here.

Take a stand for our Constitution that believes in equal justice for all Americans. Otherwise this parable will become a reality.

Obama Already Flip Flopping on Support for Ground Zero Mosque Says ‘He supports right to build’

Well, it didn’t take long for President Obama to get his backfield in motion concerning his position on the Ground Zero Mosque.

Here is a video of what he said on Friday at the White House

Everyone in the audience and virtually all of the main stream media took those comments as Obama lending his support for the building of the mosque near Greound Zero.

I can’t find one media outlet or blogger who understood his comments the way Obama is singing a different tune today. Namely, he was only referring to the right to build without specifically endorsing building said mosque near Ground Zero.

Does your hair hurt yet?

Here’s the deal.

Obama saw the CNN poll that says that nearly 7O% of Americans DO NOT SUPPORT the building of the GROUND ZERO MOSQUE!

Opps, I better become neutral again.

Too late, Mr. President, the horse is out the barn, the genie is out the bottle, you farted and you can’t take back the smell anymore.

The Hill reports that President Obama said that his statement on Friday didn't express support for the “wisdom” of building a mosque two blocks from the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in Manhattan, but rather the right the group has to build it.

"My intention was simply to let people know what I thought. Which was that in this country we treat everybody equally and in accordance with the law, regardless of race, regardless of religion," Obama said.
“I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there. I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding,”

Obama told reporters Saturday after delivering remarks in Panama City Beach, Fla. “That's what our country is about."Obama said Friday that Muslims shouldn’t be forbidden from building a mosque on account of where it’s located.

On Saturday, Obama admitted it was a “difficult” issue, but said his stand was consistent with American values.
“I think it's very important as difficult as some of these issues are that we stay focused on who we are as a people and what our values are all about,” he said, according to the pool report.
