California woman Sabrina Renne Robinson promises boyfriend kinky sex only to torture him for cheating on her

Like the old saying goes, “If it sounds to good be to be true…”

Boyfriend got a big surprise after he got handcuffed to the bed.

Daily Mail

A woman who promised her boyfriend a night of kinky sex has been jailed after handcuffing him to the bed and torturing him for cheating on her.

Sabrina Renne Robinson, from California, poured hot wax over his chest and threatened to 'gut him like a deer' as she sought revenge.

She also smashed him in the face with the butt of a shotgun and repeatedly threatened to kill him.

Police in California said the 33-year-old suspected her boyfriend had been seeing another woman.

She invited her boyfriend to her flat in Fresno, California, and according to police suggested they do 'something kinky'.

The 41-year-old man, who has not been named, stripped naked and allowed himself to be handcuffed to the bed.

But police said when the man was restrained Robinson suddenly turned violent.

Investigators say Robinson burned the man's chest with candle wax, punched his head and body, hit him with the barrel of a shotgun and threatened him with a knife.

While brandishing the knife, Robinson told him 'this is the same type of knife I skin deer with', according to Madera County Sheriff’s Department Eric Stuart.

Atty gen Holder comes to his sense and drops probe against Bush CIA officials over alleged torture

Now that the Obama administration has sucked up every bit of juice from getting Osama bin Laden to sleep with the fish, the least he could do was to stop harassing Bush CIA officials that got the actionable intelligence by using enhanced interrogation.

This investigation was never warranted in the in the first place and was only done to appease Obama’s kook Leftwing base.

I bet they’re crying in their wine glasses tonight on the Westside of New York!

National Journal

The Justice Department will end a wide-ranging probe into the CIA’s past interrogation, rendition, and detention activities, but it will launch a formal criminal investigation into agency officials involved in the deaths of two detainees, Attorney General Eric Holder announced on Thursday.

“The department has determined that an expanded criminal investigation of the remaining matters is not warranted,” Holder said in a statement.

Holder said he accepted the recommendation of longtime federal prosecutor John Durham to proceed with a criminal investigation into the deaths of the two detainees, adding that Durham’s team “reviewed a tremendous volume of information pertaining to the detainees” that included “both information and matters that had never previously been examined by the department.”

the attorney general tapped Durham in 2009 to review cases of alleged detainee mistreatment and death at the hands of CIA interrogators and contractors under the George W. Bush administration.

The probe has been hanging over the CIA, and Holder’s decision to end it was immediately welcomed by key officials.

Notably, Holder made his announcement only minutes before the Senate voted 94-0 to confirm Gen. David Petraeus as the next CIA director. The announcement was also made on the last day for current CIA Director Leon Panetta, who is heading to the Pentagon as the next Defense secretary.

“After extensive examination of more than 100 instances in which CIA had contact or was alleged to have had contact with terrorist detainees, [Durham] has determined that no further law enforcement action is appropriate in all but two discrete cases,” Panetta said in a message to CIA employees.

“No decision has been made to bring criminal charges,” added Panetta, who fiercely defended CIA agents during his tenure. “Both cases were previously reviewed by career federal prosecutors who subsequently declined prosecution. The agency will, of course, continue to cooperate fully in the remaining investigations.”

Mark Halperin suspended by MSNBC for being on point when he called Obama a “dick”

Story

Finally, somebody at the Obama-suck-up cable channel, aka MSNBC had a moment of clarity when reporter Mark Halperin correctly labeled President Obama as a “dick” after he heard the stream of misinformation and class warfare demagoguery coming from the president’s lips yesterday.

Hallelujah!

At least there’s somebody at MSNBC with enough integrity to tell it like it is when we have a president way over his head, unable to talk about his own record since coming to the White House, refusing to accept blame for his own mess, and desperately giving the American people false choices between choosing kids and corporate jets.

That was a shameful, disgusting, and unbecoming of a president performance by Obama yesterday and Halperin nailed him on it.

So now the drones at MSNBC are scrambling to right the ship and put it back on a brown-nosing path.

It won’t take them that long to get back on course.

Public sector employees at NY/NJ agency (Port Authority) paid $30K more than average pay of private sector workers

This is where your tax dollars are going.

The average salary for a worker at New York/New Jersey Port Authority, a bi-state agency that runs both New York city airports, the World Trade Center, the PATH Trains system, and the city’s Hudson River bridge and tunnel crossings, is a whopping $90,000 a year.

That’s a lot more than private sector workers in NYC who take in $60K on average.

Here’s the funny part, a PA spokesman said, “The PA has taken significant steps to control costs.”

New York Post

It pays to work for the Port Authority -- big time. The average salary at the bistate agency hit $90,000 last year -- more than $30,000 above the average salary for private-sector workers in the city -- according to a new analysis by the conservative think tank the Manhattan Institute.

The study found that average salaries at the PA rose about $1,000 over 2009, even as the agency is preparing to propose hiking bridge and tunnel tolls 25 percent next year, from $8 to $10.

"Is it bloat, or is it grounded in necessity? They need to show me," said City Council Minority Leader James Oddo (R-Staten Island). "If they have a good explanation for it, they better put it out there rather quickly."

According to the analysis, the highest-paid PA worker is executive director Christopher Ward, who earned $304,902. The agency's top attorney, Darrell Buchbinder, was No. 2, with $251,758.

The most eye-popping numbers were put up by PA cops, four of whom made the top 10 thanks to huge overtime pay.

Three police sergeants more than doubled their base salaries because of OT. And one of them, Sgt. Edwin Rivera -- No. 8 overall -- pulled down $132,286 on top of his base salary of $103,964 to make him the PA's OT champ for 2010.

Rivera declined to comment.

In a statement, the PA said it "has taken significant steps to control costs . . . the agency is now at its lowest staffing levels in 40 years and will continue its commitment to cutting costs."

The agency has a workforce of about 7,000 -- including a 1,500-member police department -- and operates the region's airports and seaports, the World Trade Center, the PATH train system, and the city's Hudson River bridge and tunnel crossings.

By comparison, the Empire Center said the average employee salary at the MTA in 2009 was dramatically lower, at $69,000.

"We think it's incredibly important that financial data, like the Port Authority's payroll, is available for analysis," the Empire Center said in a statement.

"It helps to paint the whole picture of where our tax dollars go and provides a canvas for taxpayers to make an informed decision about how they think their government is performing

End of story.

Good thing the PA has taken significant steps to keep salaried down. Otherwise these workers may be subject to Obama’s tax hikes for the rich.

Bachmann, too pretty to be a feminist, yet still mistreated by media because she’s a conservative woman

The first major decision Barack Obama ever made was to select Joe Biden as his vice president.

Did you stop laughing now?

It was an early indicator that Obama didn’t know what he was doing. And his time as president has confirmed it with miserable approval ratings.
If I listed all of Joe Biden’s gaffes in his nearly 30 year career as a politician, Google would shut down my blog for excessive memory use.

Yet, he gets to be a heartbeat away from the presidency and the Leftwing media glosses over his incompetence saying, “That’s just Joe!”

However, this past week the media has been all over Bachmann like starving mice looking for cheese trying to derail her presidential aspirations at any costs.

Although they won’t admit it, I think it’s because she’s an attractive married conservative woman that makes most troll-like feminists look worse.

Let’s face it. Feminism has always been a pathway for the “truly ugly”, “not so pretty”, “plain”, and “she’s got a great personality” among us a seat at the table.

That’s why the long knives are out for Bachmann.

The Daily Beast

No girl-power rhetoric here: Michele Bachmann tells Kirsten Powers she’s just an “empowered American” who takes media indignities foreign to the average male pol in stride.

Bachmann seemed loath to engage in the kind of girl-power rhetoric utilized by Palin and Hillary Clinton, who both invoked the perennial—and so far unbreakable—presidential glass ceiling.

Said Bachmann: “I’m a woman comfortable in her own skin. I grew up with three brothers. My parents didn’t see us [as] limited [by gender]. I would mow the lawn and take out the trash; I was making my own fishing lures. I went along with everything the boys did.”

Bachmann is still doing everything the boys do, but as a female candidate she endures indignities that are foreign to your average male pol. Yet she takes it all in stride.

In a joint interview with Bachmann last year, then-Sen. Arlen Specter lectured her to “act like a [lady]” when she strenuously disagreed with him on a point. A recent Rolling Stone diatribe by Matt Taibbi called her “completely batshit crazy” with a “retro-Stepford image.” MSNBC’s Chris Matthews has accused her of being “hypnotized” on the air and has referred to the three-term House member and former tax attorney as a “balloon head.”

True, the media have a field day playing up her every misstep—most recently her assertion that the Founding Fathers “worked tirelessly” to end slavery—but we should know by now what that is about. (Hint: She’s a woman with presidential aspirations.) If Joe Biden’s gaffes had received half the attention of Bachmann’s, nobody would take him seriously, either.

6th circuit court upholds ObamaCare, thanks to G.W. Bush appointee Jeffrey S. Sutton

Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton wrote, “In my opinion, the government has the better of the arguments.” He added, “Not every intrusive law is an unconstitutionally intrusive law.”

What?

How does that make sense? I wish Judge Sutton, who’s obviously a Lindsey Graham-type Republican, that is to say a RINO, had given an example of what the heck he was talking about.
I’m not a lawyer, but I still don’t understand under the concept of Federalism how the federal government can usurp the power of states and force people in all 50 to buy health insurance. That’s unconstitutional on its face. With that logic, the fed govt cam makes people do, or not do anything.

Bye bye, freedom.

Hello United Soviet States!

And the America we used to know is gone forever.

New York Times

The Obama administration on Wednesday prevailed in the first appellate review of the 2010 health care law as a three-judge panel from the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit held that it was constitutional for Congress to require that Americans buy health insurance.

The ruling by the Cincinnati court is the first of three opinions to be delivered by separate courts of appeal that heard arguments in the health care litigation in May and June. Opinions are expected soon from panels in both the Fourth Circuit in Richmond, Va., and the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta.

Lawyers on both sides of the case widely expect the Supreme Court to take one or more of the cases, perhaps as soon as its coming term, which starts in October. The speed of the Sixth Circuit ruling could help ensure that timing.

The opinion was the first to not break down strictly along seemingly partisan lines. In the 2-to-1 ruling, a judge appointed by a Republican president joined one named by a Democrat to write the majority opinion.

In various cases at the lower District Court level, five judges have divided on the question, with three Democratic appointees backing the law and two Republican appointees rejecting it.

As they look ahead to the Supreme Court, the law’s defenders can take encouragement from the concurring opinion written by Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton, an appointee of President George W. Bush, a Republican. Judge Sutton is typically considered conservative on questions of constitutional reach.

After acknowledging the difficulty of pinpointing the limits on Congress’s power to regulate interstate commerce, Judge Sutton wrote, “In my opinion, the government has the better of the arguments.” He added, “Not every intrusive law is an unconstitutionally intrusive law.”

Joining Judge Sutton was Judge Boyce F. Martin Jr., an appointee of President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat. Dissenting on the central issues was Judge James L. Graham, a District Court judge appointed by President Ronald Reagan who is on temporary assignment to the Sixth Circuit.

The appeal, which was heard by the panel on June 1, came in a challenge filed by the Thomas More Law Center, a conservative public interest firm in Ann Arbor, Mich. In its 69-page ruling, the panel upheld Judge George C. Steeh of Federal District Court in Detroit, who concluded that choosing not to buy health insurance was a consequential commercial decision that could be regulated by Congress under the Commerce Clause of the Constitution.

Another ethically challenged Dem Rep. Laura Richardson may have some ‘splaining to do to the FBI

Whatever happened to Nancy Pelosi’s promise to drain the swamp of corruption in Washington?

Dem Rep Charlie Rangel-certified tax-cheat who was in charge of writing tax law for the rest of us.

Dem Rep Anthony Weiner-certified freakaziod who spent more of his time sexting woman other than his pregnant wife than he did work for his constituents.

And here come Dem Rep Laura Richardson with her own alleged kind of misconduct.

The Hill

A leading watchdog group is touting new evidence of alleged ethics violations by Rep. Laura Richardson (D-Calif.) and calling for a criminal investigation.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) is accusing Richardson of habitually threatening her congressional staff with their jobs if they didn’t work on her campaign, and has asked the FBI to investigate.

“Rep. Richardson presented staffers with an odious choice: work on her campaign, or lose their jobs,” Melanie Sloan, CREW’s executive director, said in a statement. “Astonishingly, in just three short terms, Rep. Richardson has been the subject of at least two ethics investigations. Now a criminal investigation should be added to the list.”

CREW says it also has evidence that Richardson’s staffers were asked to make political contributions and run personal errands on behalf of the three-term lawmaker — a breach of federal laws barring congressional office funds from being used for unofficial purposes.

Richardson’s office fiercely denied the charges, characterizing the claims as old news.

“The allegations in today’s letter released by CREW are not new, and they are based on media accounts, information and claims reported publicly months ago,” spokesman Ray Zaccaro said in an email Tuesday.

In November, the Ethics panel interviewed Richardson’s staff about the allegations of campaign activity, but the status of that investigation is unknown. The Ethics Committee did not respond to a request for comment.

The FBI likewise declined to comment.

Glenn Beck and family can’t watch a movie in Bryant Park without being harassed by idiot Liberals

In the below video Glenn Beck tells of his ordeal he and his family suffered when trying to watch a movie at Bryant Park.

It didn’t go well!

As a lifelong New Yorker, I know all too well how immature New York Liberals can act. If there were a Nobel Prize for the most nonsensical Liberal, I guarantee you a New Yorker would win it every year.

It’s funny how the very people who consider themselves the most sophisticated in the country, routinely act like the worst louts whenever they confront a conservative that can easily beat them in a debate.

We conservatives know it, and they know it, which is why they revert to insults, name calling, yelling racism, yada, yada yada.

But, not all New York Liberals are like that. Still, Beck and his family didn’t deserve what they got.

Latina beauty Elen Rivas poses nude in ad against bullfighting

But, PETA a group of guilt ridden navel contemplating sissies, who care more for animals than they do people.

SPANISH beauty Elen Rivas poses naked and bleeding in a hard-hitting campaign against bullfighting.

The ex-fiancée of England footie ace Frank Lampard appears with four spears in her back in the controversial ad by animal rights group PETA.

Campaigners hope the ad will persuade British tourists not to see a bullfight while on holiday in Spain, where the sport is still widespread.

Model Elen, 36, who recently dated singer Peter Andre, said: "My ad might be graphic, but it's nothing compared to the bloody, violent reality of bullfights.

"Most Spaniards are opposed to this barbaric blood sport, and PETA and I are urging tourists not to be fooled by the industry's propaganda.

"There is absolutely nothing romantic about torturing and killing animals for entertainment."

The ad is set to stir up a new debate on bullfighting in Spain.

That’s how life is for conservatives!

But, despite the unfair treatment, Michele Bachmann political star is quickly rising.

Gallup

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who formally announced her presidential candidacy Monday in her hometown of Waterloo, Iowa, enters the race with 69% name recognition among Republicans and ties for the highest Positive Intensity Score of any GOP candidate Gallup tracks.

Bachmann finds herself in a relatively positive position among Republicans as she begins her formal campaign. Her name recognition is up to 69% for the two-week period of June 13-26, having climbed from 52% in late February/early March. This places her fifth among the most well-known Republicans Gallup measures, behind Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, and Ron Paul, but well ahead of Tim Pawlenty, Jon Huntsman, and several other competitors. Bachmann's Positive Intensity Score of 24 ties with Herman Cain's as the highest such score of any candidate, and is her highest to date. Bachmann's ability to maintain her relatively high Positive Intensity Score as she has become better known distinguishes her from several of her competitors.

NAACP honcho Karen Boykin-Towns sends her kid to posh boarding school as she files suit to deny low-income Black children entry into Charter schools

This story will definitely fall through the cracks as to the national attention it deserves. The NAACP, the once vital organization who fought for the advancement of African Americans, has sadly morphed into apparatchiks of the Democrat Party.

Instead of fighting for better education for low-income Blacks, the NAACP sides with Teacher’s unions to crush the Charter school movement that out performs traditional failing public schools.

It’s a money thing, you see!

Charter schools employ teachers that are non-union. And the United Federation of Teachers hates that because they can’t collect union dues to give to Democrat politicians.

But, to add insult to insanity, a NAACP bigwig sends her daughter to an exclusive New England boarding school. She ain’t sending her kid to a failing school. But, let the poor Black folks be doomed to an inferior school system.

New York Post

A prominent NAACP leader is sending her child to a posh New England boarding school at the same time the civil-rights group is suing to block low-income parents from educating their kids in charter schools, The Post has learned.

Karen Boykin-Towns, who heads the group's Brooklyn branch and serves on its national board, enrolls her daughter, Jasmine, at the bucolic, 80-acre Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, which charges up to $45,000 in annual tuition.

Her husband is Darryl Towns, the state housing commissioner and former Brooklyn state assemblyman who voted to increase the cap on charter schools last year.

Her father-in-law is veteran Brooklyn Congressman Ed Towns.

"We know you are selective about your future . . . We're equally selective at Brewster. We want only the very best students," the school says in its brochure.

Students there study with Apple laptops and play Frisbee on the shoreline of majestic Lake Winnipesaukee, which abuts the campus.

Boykin-Towns defended the boarding-school enrollment of her daughter in light of the NAACP suit.

"I'd simply say that as a parent, the most important job you have is to provide the best opportunities possible for your children's education and success," Boykin-Towns said in an e-mail response to The Post.

Is Bachmann getting John Wayne’s birthplace wrong really worse than Barack Obama forgetting that he’s a Christian?

And so the Palinization of Michele Bachmann by the Leftwing blosoasphere begins!

In an interview of Michele Bachmann, she stated that John Wayne was born in Waterloo, Iowa. As a huge John Wayne fan myself, I knew he was born in Winterset, Iowa. However, his parents met, fell in love, and were married in Waterloo and lived there for time before moving to Winterset.

Video from Fox News

No big deal, right?

Not for the Leftwing whack jobs—they are putting out the comical idea that Bachmann cited the wrong John Wayne, and saying she was referring to serial killer John Wayne Gacy who was born in Waterloo.

How convoluted is that?

John Wayne was born in 1907. Gacy was born in 35 years later in 1942 at the height of Wayne’s popularity as a movie star. No doubt Gacy was named after Wayne. But, the Leftwing loonies want people to think that Bachmann was thinking about a serial killer.

The Politico

Michele Bachmann misstated Iowa (and Hollywood) history when she said John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa, but she may have been thinking of Wayne's parents, who had at least a brief connection to the town.

From the biography, "John Wayne: American":Clyde [Wayne's father] was twenty and Molly [his mother] was nineteen when they met. She fell in love with him because he was kind, handsome and well educated. He would, she thought, be easy to live with and a good provider. They had not dated long and did not know each other very well, but Clyde was about to take a job at a pharmacy in Waterloo, Iowa, and they decided to get married. Rather than bother with a church wedding, they eloped, traveling to Knoxville, in Marion County, where Justice of the Peace I.H. Garrison married them on September 29, 1905. They made their first home in Waterloo …

The instability that stalked them for the rest of their time together appeared early. They both wanted to leave Waterloo and get closer to their parents. Molly was emotionally tied to her mother and father, as was Clyde to his family. Waterloo was more than 115 miles from Des Moines and 150 miles from Indianola … Winterset, the county seat of Madison County, was about 35 miles from Des Moines and only 20 miles from Indianola, perfect for both of them. They rented a small frame house on South Second Street in Winterset and started a new life there.

So, we can play these games too. How about Barack Obama forgetting his religion? Or is he really a Muslin?

It was less of a parade and more of a carnival as gay pride mania took over New York today.

Michele Bachmann says she would overrule gay marriage

Here’s the other side of the story Think Progress omitted from a prior article in which they inferred Michelle Bachmann was for Gay Marriage.

Daily Mail

As New York approves gay marriage, Rep Michele Bachmann seems to have come out against it.

Perhaps fuelled by her popularity in the Iowa preference poll, the Republican presidential candidate today said she would issue a constitutional amendment that would see marriage between a man and a woman only.

The Minnesota congresswoman also said it was up to individual states to decide whether they allowed same-sex marriage.

'The states have the right to pass the laws they want to,' Bachmann told Fox News Sunday adding the issue should really be on the ballot so voters can decide whether gay marriage should be allowed nationwide.

'Every time it's going on the ballot, the people have decided to keep the traditional definition,' she said.

'After all, the family is the fundamental unit of government.'
It's not a contradiction to go after a federal amendment that would trump state law, she added and if she gets voted in next year that's what she'll do.

The amendment would require a two-thirds vote of Congress and ratification by three-quarters of the states.

'It's a high hurdle,' Bachmann said. 'We only have 27 amendments to the federal Constitution.'

Earlier in the conversation the Republican had talked of her 'titanium spine' in dealing with tough questions.

Think Progress blogger ignorant on Constitution on how Michele Bachmann can support NY’s right to pass Gay Marriage

Just a few minutes ago on Memeorandum read the following headline:

Bachmann Supports New York’s Right To Enact Marriage Equality Law

So what’s the story? Why wouldn’t Bachmann support a state’s right to pass a law?

Tanya Somanader goes to write:

“Despite her right-wing view on marriage, Bachmann said she supports New York’s right to institute marriage equality because, under the 10th Amendment, the state has a right to do so.”

So, is Somanader inferring that Bachmann supports Gay Marriage? That’s pretty funny because in the same interview Bachmann clearly says that she for a constitutional amendment defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Somanader, who graduated with a BA degree in International Relations and History conveniently fails to report this. Bachmann believes in Federalism-states have the right to pass its own laws. Although Bachmann believes New York or any other state has the right to pass Gay Marriage, it doesn’t mean she’s agrees with it.

So once again we have another constitutionally illiterate Liberal reporter for Think Progress (Far Left website) misstating the facts.

What else is new?

Iowa Poll: Romney, Bachmann lead Republican pack, Cain 3rd

Two of my picks for the nomination, Bachmann and Cain are doing just fine, thank you. Still a long way to go, but the big news is how well Bachmann is doing.

And why not?

She’s a real conservative with a doctorate degree in Tax Law from Ivy league’s William and Mary. So, as much as Chris Matthews may try to marginalize her, Bachmann is a heavy hitter and she’s tougher that most of the GOP men in Washington already.

That’s exactly what the country needs to fix the problems created by Obama’s job killing policies.

Remember, Barack, it’s the economy stupid!

Is anybody better off than you were 4 years ago when this imposter community organizer took office?

Des Moines Register

Two-time candidate Mitt Romney and tea party upstart
Michele Bachmann are neck and neck leading the pack, and retired pizza chief Herman Cain is in third place in a new Des Moines Register Iowa Poll of likely participants in the state’s Republican presidential caucuses.

The results are bad news for the earnest Tim Pawlenty, a former Minnesota governor who is in single digits despite a full-throttle campaign.
Romney, a former Massachusetts governor and business executive, claims 23 percent, and Bachmann, a Minnesota congresswoman and evangelical conservative, garners 22 percent. Neither has done heavy lifting in Iowa.

The rest of the Republican field is at least 12 points behind them.

Cain, a retired Georgia business executive, is the top choice for 10 percent of potential caucusgoers.

Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich, whose entire Iowa campaign team resigned in frustration two weeks ago over its perception that his efforts are half-hearted, is tied in fourth place at 7 percent with the libertarian-leaning Ron Paul, a longtime Texas congressman.

Pawlenty is at 6 percent; Rick Santorum, a former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, 4 percent; and Jon Huntsman, a former Utah governor and ambassador to China, 2 percent.

“The surprise here is how quickly Michele Bachmann is catching on,” said Jennifer Duffy, a political analyst with the nonpartisan Cook Political Report of Washington, D.C. “To me, she’s the one to watch, not Romney.”

Campaign veterans caution that this is a very early test. They expect the race to take many twists and turns before the Iowa finish line is reached. The caucuses are scheduled for Feb. 6, 2012.

Indeed, results indicate Iowa Republicans would be receptive to additional candidates in the race. Just 14 percent of likely Republican caucusgoers say their minds are made up about their choice in the presidential race. Another 14 percent don’t have a first choice yet. Sixty-nine percent say they could be persuaded to support a candidate other than their first choice.

Those findings could encourage potential candidates now on the sidelines, such as Gov. Rick Perry of Texas or former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. The poll tested favorability of several prominent Republicans, but the trial heat question included only those who have declared they’re running.

The telephone survey of 400 likely Republican caucusgoers was conducted June 19 to 22, roughly eight months before the Iowa caucuses, which kick off the presidential nominating process.

Muslim woman files lawsuit against Abercrombie & Fitch after 'she was fired for wearing a headscarf at work'

This case will end up getting tossed out because a private employer has every right to set rules on how an employee should dress.

It’s called a dress code!

This woman knew that going in and probably has an agenda to get attention and sympathy for Muslims.

Sorry sister, that won’t wash!

Daily Mail

A Muslim woman is taking Abercrombie & Fitch to court after she was allegedly fired from her job for wearing a religious headscarf.

The woman, who has not been named, claims bosses told her the hijab didn't fit with the firm's 'look policy' - even though she worked in the stockroom. She was employed for several months at a California branch of Hollister Co, a subsidiary of the Abercrombie clothing chain.

The company has become well-known for its controversial 'look policy', which provides strict guidelines governing how employees dress.

It stipulates that staff must represent 'a natural classic American style' and instructs them on everything from how to wear their hair (clean and natural) to how long they should wear their nails (a quarter of an inch past the end of the finger).

Her lawyers claim: 'She was told that her headscarf, though worn based on a religious mandate, was not in compliance with the company's "look policy".' Her contract was allegedly terminated in February 2010 after she refused to remove the hijab.

Sounds like another frivolous lawsuit to me.

An alternate account of the Prosser-Bradley confrontation surfaces: Did she "charge him with fists raised"?

Nobody knows Wisconsin better that Ann Althouse. She has posted a report on her very fine blog that questions a story of a Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Prosser allegedly laying his hands around Supreme Court Justice Bradley to choke her. The story broke in the press yesterday even though the alleged incident occurred more than a week ago on June 13.

Why the week delay to report the story and where’s the police report?

Sounds like Liberal judge Bradley is seeking to destroy the reputation of conservative judge Prosser because she was on the losing side that upheld Gov Scott Walker’s law to remove some collective bargaining rights from public sector unions.

Here’s the story

The GOP Will Pay a Grave Price for passing Gay Marriage

It’s gonna get very ugly in New York, mark my words! This vote signed into law by fornicator-in-chief, Andrew Cuomo will come back to haunt him in a big way.

You’ve been warned, Andrew!

National Review

New York Republicans are responsible for passing gay marriage. The party will pay a grave price.

Here is what we know. In state after state, Democrats who control a chamber in support of their base have prevented votes favorable to marriage: Iowa, West Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania.

When Democrats are in the minority, they’ve demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to their base — in Wisconsin and Indiana fleeing the state to prevent a vote.

N.Y, Republicans did not have to bring gay marriage up for a vote: What does it mean that they passed gay marriage in N.Y.?

Michael Long, the Conservative-party chairman, has vowed to withhold his endorsement. The National Organization for Marriage has committed $2 million to persuading Republicans: Voting for gay marriage has consequences.

Sad that the N.Y. GOP has caved. Consequences to be continued.

‘Do as You’re Told’: Here‘s How Australian Tobacco Companies Are Fighting the ’Nanny State’

I’m not a smoker!

However, I feel for people who are because they have become social pariahs thanks to the workings activists and the Nanny State.

If smoking is so terrible, why not totally ban the sale of it? Maybe the loss of tax revenue for the government has something to do with it?

Hmm!

The Blaze

Recently The Blaze reported on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration releasing nine new and grotesque warning labels for cigarette packs. The labels feature graphic images, including corpses, rotting teeth and gums, and a man with a tracheotomy smoking, along with the phrases “Smoking can kill you” and “Cigarettes cause cancer.”

But while proponents of the anti-smoking campaign see this as a victory in the public health arena, others fear it is a major step towards an all-intrusive Nanny State. It makes one wonder if they will start displaying photos of a cirrhosised liver on liquor bottles, or a list of all diabetes-related ailments on a box of Twinkies.

Tennessee Black bear is hit by police cruiser ... then gets up and runs off

Who says Bears aren’t tough birds?

Daily Mail

You wouldn't want to meet a black bear in the dead of night, but then again this particular beast probably wasn't keen on a showdown with a police patrol car in the darkness.

Deputy Jason Harvey was completing an uneventful patrol, winding his way down Highway 127 on Singal Mountain in Sequatchie County, Tennessee, on Friday night.

Suddenly, out of nowhere a young bear is in the middle of the road.

Sheriff Ronnie Hitchcock said: 'Just below the scenic overlook, a black bear jumped into the road.'

Deputy Harvey's cruiser camera recorded the entire incident: the bear cub got bumped from behind.

'He knocked it down the road 25-30ft,' Sheriff Hitchcock said.

This is gonna hurt: The young black bear jumps out of the bushes and runs in front of the police car

Too fast, too close: The bear's head is clearly visible as the cruiser tries to slow down just inches from the animal
After regaining its balance, the bear didn't hang around to check for damage. Seemingly uninjured, the animal shot off into the woods.

Deputy Harvey's cruiser suffered minimal damage.
All Sheriff's Department vehicles have protective cages mounted on their front bumpers.

Sarah Palin to attend premiere of The Undefeated in Iowa

When I read this I thought Sarah was attending the showing of one of my favorite John Wayne films.

My bad, the movie chronicles Palin’s rise to fame and features prominent conservatives like Mark Levin and Andrew Breitbart.

But, the Wayne film is fantastic!

(BUMPED) Gay Marriage comes to New York because NY GOPers ain’t worth a lump of shit

I might as well get back in the mix with guns blazing!

I was away for a couple of weeks tending to a sick Dad with lung cancer. In that time I heard drips of news here and there concerning the Gay Marriage bill in my beloved New York.

It doesn’t look good for people who believe correctly that marriage should be between a man and a woman as the good Lord intended. Spare me the talk of marriage inequality and second class citizenship for homosexuals.

I couldn’t care less!

I believe in a Holy God that sets the rules on how we should live. And if that God says that homosexuality is an abomination in three different faiths (Christianity, Judaism, and the chic religion of the Left, Islam) then we all bear the burden of ignoring that decree.

However, it’s a tough pill to swallow that the deciding votes on this disgrace of a bill may come at the hands of worthless Republicans that have turned their backs on traditional values.

That this is happening is not surprising to me because I’ve lived in NY all my 48 yrs. So I know these GOP bustards are no better than Democrats.

But, it’s painful nonetheless!

I think New York needs to truly be called Sin City instead of Las Vegas. After all we have a governor in Andrew Cuomo who is a devout fornicator and we're the state who produced Anthony Weiner. How much of a freak show this state has become?
