Rep. Anthony Weiner's car is registered in New York but way out of date

Here’s another example of a politician not living by the same rules as the rest of us. Is this a surprise with this schmuck?

New York Daily News

After a week of facing questions about lewd Twitter photos, Rep. Anthony Weiner Saturday had more explaining to do: why his Nissan Pathfinder has New York license plates but a 2007 registration sticker.

A photo of Weiner behind the wheel of his more than 20-year-old SUV appeared in Saturday's Daily News as he left his Washington home Friday night.

It had a New York license plate - US Congress 9 - but no sign of an inspection sticker in the windshield and what appeared to be an expired July 2007 registration sticker.

Jammed on the dashboard was a sign that read "Congress."
A Weiner spokesman said the car is properly registered but the updated sticker was not displayed because the vehicle is not kept in New York.

A state Department of Motor Vehicles spokeswoman said registration, insurance and inspection data are not public records.

In March, the Roll Call, a Capitol Hill newspaper, reported Weiner owed more than $2,000 in parking tickets for violations around the Capitol and near Reagan National Airport. The fines, racked up between March 2006 and March 2010, were immediately paid.
