Germany: Birthday girl “Thessa” goes into hiding after 15,000 Facebook users turn up for her sweet 16 party
Be careful how you set Facebook settings. This German girl got a lot more guests than she bargained for.
I didn’t know Germans like to really party like that.

A German teenager fled from her own birthday party after more than 15,000 guests turned up, shortly followed by 100 police officers.
The girl, identified only as Thessa, went into hiding after forgetting to set her party as 'private' on Facebook meaning she got a lot more than she bargained for.
Eleven people were temporarily detained by officers and one policeman was injured. Firefighters had to put out two fires at the girl's 16th birthday party in Hamburg and dozens of girls had to be treated after their feet were cut on broken glass.
Despite all the drama, police Spokesman Mirko Streiber that 'nonetheless the party was a hit'.
