Brother, Can You Spare Some Liberty?

Welfare line

He dropped out of high school because he thought it wasn’t necessary. Why go when I can hang out with the boys and do nothing and talk shit all day.

She kept her studies up and worried that she wouldn’t be able to get into the college she wanted.

30 years later, he’s still talking shit and trying to get his act together at age 47 as he stands in line for his next county check. His cell rings, but he doesn't answer because he know it’s only more baby momma drama.

She looks at her paycheck and sees it getting smaller and smaller.

The tax man cometh to take away from those that do the do in order to provide for those that don’t do shit.

It’s all in the name of fairness because doers need to be punished for setting a bad example of self sufficiency.

The non-doers need to be coddled and stroked by Trust Me Government in exchange for votes and absolution for bad life decisions that won’t be held against them-ever.

It’s a nice bargain for him and a kick in the ass for her.
