Surging Christine O'Donnell outraises Chris Coons more than 2-to-1 leaving Dems sweating bullets
What an embarrassment it would be for Democrats if an ex-witch becomes the next senator from Delaware.
Well, at least the Dems tried to portray Christine O’Donnell as a witch.
Maybe they prefer a witch over a communist?
Politico reports that Delaware Republican Christine O’Donnell raised a substantial $3.8 million during the last three months, more than twice what her Democratic opponent raised, but it hasn't yet thinned his substantial lead in most polls.
O'Donnell, backed by the Tea Party Express, gained national attention when she upset GOP Rep. Mike Castle in the Sept. 14 Senate primary.
Although polls show O’Donnell trailing Democrat Chris Coons by a wide margin, her candidacy is certainly well-funded: She reported $2.6 million in the bank as of Sept. 30.
