This piece of slime to the left is the man responsible for the shooting at a Safeway store in Tucson Arizona that resulted in the deaths of a 9 year old girl, a federal judge and others. Also included in the casualties was a U.S. member of the House of Representatives.In the coming weeks you will most likely hear strong debates about gun control, whether Jared Lee Loughner was a Left wing or a Right wing crazy, and a bevy of other theories as to why he did what he did.
I’m not concerned with any of that!
I have a dear friend from one of the Caribbean islands who says political differences are routinely settled with gun play. But, after living in America for over 20 years, he’s still amazed that that kind of behavior doesn’t happen here.
This is why the United States is an exceptional place in the world!
Although we may have heated disagreements amongst ourselves on a variety of hot button issues, it should be deeply understood, taught and reinforced that our differences are resolved only at the ballot box and not by bullets.
This IS what makes us Americans!
This is why after 235 years we ALWAYS have a peaceful transfer of power as dictated our constitution. This is what sets us apart from the banana republics, the dictatorship, and the other oppressive forms of government around the world that don’t enjoy our freedoms.
This is why what happened in Arizona is such a despicable, and yes, highly un-American act!

As much as we may disagree with any politician, even to the point of hatred, we suck it up, get more involved in the political process, wait 2, 4, or 6 years and vote on Election Day.
We are Americans, and this is how we roll.
