David Axelrod Still Pushing GOP getting Foreign money allegations to fire up African Americans to Vote

The Lefty Bible, The New York Times, has concluded there is no evidence or bases in fact that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is unlawfully using foreign money to spend on GOP candidates throughout the country.

If the so-called paper of record and other mainstream media outlets aren’t going along with Axelrod, you may wonder why is he continuing this attack?

The answer is simple.

Michelle Obama was a guest on the Micheal Baisden Show this afternoon and at one point in the interview, Baisden injected the topic of foreign money coming into the campaign for Republicans.

Baisden’s show is syndicated in over 70 cities and is very popular in the Black community. If Baisden is parroting Axelrod, other African American DJs across the country are dutifully following suit to spread the word with these scandalous and unfounded allegations.
Axelrod, Obama, and the Dems know that Black folks are easily motivated by sound bites. So it doesn’t matter that none of it is true. The only thing that counts is getting African Americans to vote.

The Plum Line reports that the White House will keep up its assault on outside spending by conservative groups and will continue to press the case about the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's foreign money, despite hints of retreat on the latter issue, senior adviser David Axelrod told me in an interview this afternoon.

Axelrod also took a shot at the fact-checkers at multiple news orgs who have concluded there is no evidence for the White House's broadside at the Chamber, suggesting fact-checkers should be "directing their ire" at the Chamber, rather than "in the wrong direction."

"The fact that these front groups are spending hundreds of millions of dollars from undisclosed sources on attack ads to influence these elections is a serious issue and we're going to continue to raise it," Axelrod told me.

He added: "As we've said from the beginning, the prospect that foreign controlled companies might somehow be involved, this was opened up in the Citizens United debate, and it continues to be a concern."

Obama White House Cracking Under Pressure?

Remember how much the media couldn’t stop gushing about how smoothly the Obama presidential campaign was run?

“No drama Obama” was the popular catch phrase that the press reported to the American public.

Let’s be real here.

Even if there was any kind major misstep to report, the Obama “suck-up press” would have intentionally NOT REPORT anything for fear of damaging their ideological savior in Barack Obama.

But, being the president and governing is much different than running for the the office itself.

The problem with the Obama White is that they think it’s all the same.

The Politico reports:

The spate of news stories delving into West Wing palace intrigue has become so relentless that President Barack Obama warned his team against fueling the blaze.

“Don’t get absorbed in the Washington finger-pointing and intrigue,” the president told his senior advisers during a recent meeting, according to one top aide.

He “certainly let us know that we should keep our eye on the ball here and not get distracted by the games of Washington,” the aide said.

The season of turmoil, which has erupted just as Obama is pushing for final health care votes that could determine his domestic legacy, is the most vivid example of how the discipline of the campaign — which prided itself on a tight-knit culture and aides who stayed aloof from the who’s-up, who’s-down obsessions of the press and the Washington political class — has frayed under stress.

After the president’s historic win in 2008, his close aides might have been forgiven for thinking that the usual rules of politics didn’t apply to them — that they could rise above the Washington ways merely by saying they would. But upon taking office, they, too, quickly lapsed into old Washington habits, with several senior staffers sitting for flattering profiles and photo shoots that made them star players in Obama’s world.

And as the waters have grown choppy, some of the key players have taken to defending their actions in the press — which also contributes to a sense that Obama’s White House is getting pulled into the minute-by-minute tit-for-tat it swore to avoid.

Obama Turns to Plouffe

What world is Obama living in?

There’s an old saying, “dance with the one who brung ya’”

That’s exactly what President Barack Obama has decided to do by reaching out to his former campaign manger, David Plouffe, as a special guru/advisor/hand holder to pick up the pieces of an presidential agenda in shambles.

Plouffe, who is Obama’s version of Karl Rove, has undeniable talent that took, dare I say it, a community organizer from the Southside of Chicago through a head to head battle with the Clinton War machine and won Democrat the nomination.

Who knew?

So, Obama is feeling kind of feisty according to special adviser David Axelrod, the other David, and can’t wait to engage in battle to recover from his worst week in the White House, speeding up his schedule for engaging in the 2010 political races and planning to use his State of the Union address on Wednesday to show the public a feisty side.

The president wants Pouffe to oversee House, Senate and governor’s races to stave off a hemorrhage of seats in the fall.

The president’s leading pollster, Joel Benenson, will be among those conducting research for Mr. Plouffe, aides said, along with others who will divide the country by regions.

It’s the 2008 campaign all over again!

But, there is a great flaw with this strategy that the Obama administration to this day fails to understand. There is a huge difference between running for president, which Obama actually knows how to do, and governing as president, which Obama has painfully demonstrated day in and day out despite the media’s fawning, that he does not know how to manage.

Plouffe magic does not apply to man who has never ran a business, never ran a state or a city as a chief executive and it shows. So, for the rest of the year until the midterm elections, President Obama will become Candiate Obama all over again.

That dog won’t hunt!
