It was so nice to see Fred Dicker of the New York Post write a story about Andrew Cuomo a day after the election. For some strange reason he didn’t really offer up any information about Cuomo during the campaign.
But, Dicker sure had a lot to say about Carl Paladino though. A day didn’t go by without Freddy writing that Paladino was a ‘bomb thrower” or a “homophobe”. I always thought words like these illustrated an opinion rather than being objective.
What did Fred Dicker call Andrew Cuomo?
He referred to him as the Attorney General for the State of New York.
I think this song describes Fred’s feelings about Cuomo.
What can I say other than some people just don’t get the message. I live in a blue state that obviously is a product of a school system controlled by Liberals.
That’s the way the teacher’s unions and Democrats want it. Keep the people stupid and the state blue.
Are New Yorkers about to go the way of California, Michigan, and to some extent New Jersey, by electing another tax and spend Democrat, trying to pass himself off as a conservative?
If you believe the latest poll, it looks like it will. I for one am dumbfounded! I thought New Yorkers were a pretty shrewd bunch of people. But, if they elect another Albany insider, who is a cheap knock off of his father, former gov Mario Cuomo, New Yorkers deserve what they get.
They will deserve a continuation of the same Albany dysfunction that exits today because Andrew Cuomo won’t change a thing.
Oh, he talks a good game! But, Andrew Cuomo is like that pretty girl who bats her eyes at you, but never puts out.
The labor unions are his true love and he won’t fulfill his promise to cut 20% of their jobs.
In an era where the country is about to resoundingly reject the Obama agenda, New York seems to be stuck in a cocoon where common sense doesn’t penetrate.
One party rule (Democrat) has gotten New York on the brink of financial ruin and the voters of New York are behaving like Oliver Twist-please Sir, I want some more.
Andrew Cuomo, the little boy wating to be coronated King of New York, has skeletons in his closet some tabloids like the New York Post aren’t interested in highlighting for the voters.
So it’s up to other news outlets and bloggers to pick up the slack and uncover the truth behind one of the biggest frauds walking around in New York-Andrew Cuomo!
Gothamist.com reporta that after a week of doing everything wrong, it's nice to see Kooky Carl Paladino getting back to his core values, and the bread and butter of his campaign: hard-hittingly hilarious photoshopped posters.
His latest one depicts gubernatorial opponent Andrew Cuomo with some of NY's more troubled Democratic politicians. Among them is Andrew Farkas, the real estate mogul who currently serves as finance chairman in Cuomo’s campaign for governor, but who used to be one of Cuomo's enemies.
In 1997, while serving as the nation's housing secretary, Cuomo was pursuing a case in which Farkas’s financial company had paid millions of dollars in kickbacks to a landlord. They settled the case however, and became friends a few years later; Cuomo even worked for one of Farkas's companies, and was paid more than $2.5 million in salary.
Paladino has routinely criticized Cuomo for his relationship with Farkas, who has helped Cuomo raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for his campaign: "Here’s a man who stole millions of dollars, and Andrew gives him a pass,” Paladino said on a radio show last week. The Times has the whole complicated tale of their relationship here.
I’m still waiting for editor Fred Dicker of the New York Post to admit he’s on Cuomo’s payroll?
I go away on vacation for a week to Puerto Rico and all hell breaks out in my state of New York. Sorry for being a week late with this story, but I have to put in my two cents, okay maybe it’s worth a penny.
From what I gather, Republican candidate for NY Gov, Carl Paladino, who admitted to an affair he had 10 years ago which produced a daughter, accused Andrew Cuomo of having at least 3 or 4 affairs while he was married to a Kennedy.
NY Post editor, Fred Dicker, confronted Paladino and asks him for proof of Cuomo’s affair.
Here’s the question?
Why is Fred Dicker so upset with Paladino’s accusation to the point of being physically threatening to Paladino who doesn’t back down and threatens Dicker for sending NY Post photogs to cover his 10 year old daughter?
Dicker denies the charge.
It looks like Dicker is really taking it personally that such an accusation can be made against Andrew Cuomo who is a huge joke outside of Democrat circles.
The only thing Andrew Cuomo has going for him is his name “Cuomo”, son of former 3 term gov Mario Cuomo. He’s never accomplished anything for himself without the help of his influential father.
His nickname can be Andrew “Yeah I got the serious hook up” Cuomo.
But, what disappoints me most is that the NY Post, the so-called “conservative” paper in this town, the paper I have brought everyday for over 30 years has completely sold out to the Cuomo dynasty.
NY Post, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
And as for Fred Dicker, he’s living up to his name!
Yesterday a Rasmussen poll had Republican Carl Paladino down by 15 points. But, in a new poll the gap has closed significantly because New Yorkers are sick and tired of being taxed and spent to death by Liberal Democrats who don’t know anything other than sucking the taxpayer dry.
Even though Democrats out number Republicans 3 to 1 in New York, Dem voters has seen what other Democrat controlled administrations have done in California, in Michigan, and in New Jersey respectively all teetering on the brink of financial ruin.
This time around New York voters are voting with their wallets and against party interests.
Flame-throwing Republican Carl Paladino is within striking distance of overtaking longtime gubernatorial frontrunner Andrew Cuomo, a shocking new poll finds.
Among likely voters, the Democrat Cuomo has a paltry 49% to 43% lead over Paladino, the blowhard Buffalo businessman who won a shocking and decisive victory last week in the GOP primary, the Quinnipiac University poll finds.
Cuomo "might be a victim of his own excess," Quinnipiac pollster Maurice Carroll said. "Politicians and polls have depicted him so relentlessly as a sure thing that he might be a victim of the 'throw the bums out' attitude that hits incumbents in this angry year."
In the two-way race between Cuomo and Paladino, Quinnipiac found that Cuomo has strong leads among Democrats and women.
Paladino not only crushes Cuomo among Republicans and those who consider themselves part of the Tea Party movement, but he also leads by a 49% to 43% margin among independents - a key voting bloc.
The tough-talking Paladino also leads among men by a 49-46% margin, Quinnipiac found.
Nearly 80% of voters say their minds are made up.
"The question was whether Carl Paladino would get a bounce from his big Republican primary victory," Carroll said. "The answer is yes. He's within shouting distance and - you can count on it - he will be shouting."
Since winning the primary, Paladino has unleashed venomous attacks against Cuomo, most recently questioning his manhood and wondering if he has the "cajones" to publicly debate.
It's left Team Cuomo struggling to find a way to fight back against the unconventional slash-and-burn foe.
Helping Paladino is that 41% of voters say they want a governor who will bring change to Albany, while 22% favor someone who shares their values. Another 21% want someone who is honest and trustworthy.
In a potential bad sign for Cuomo, the first-term attorney general whose father was a three-term governor, just 10% listed "right experience" as the quality that matters most in deciding how they will vote.
As a lifetime New Yorker having lived in this state for 47 years, let me tell you that Andrew Cuomo has done NOTHING in his life of any disinclination other than being born a Cuomo, having been married to a Kennedy for a about a minute, and having been the beneficiary of Democrat crony politics because of his name (former NY Gov Mario Cuomo) when he was appointed HUD under President Bill Clinton.
All Andrew had to do was graduate from law school and his father did all the rest for him with every job or position since then.
He’s not a self-made man.
He is and always has been Daddy’s little boy waiting for his chance to become king.
And the voters of New York would have to be utter idiots to vote this man governor when he represents so much of the failed Democrat policies that have poised this state on the brink of financial ruin.
If a can of paint promised to cut taxes 10% and cut spending 20%, New Yorkers would be much better off voting for the can instead of Andrew “It’s my turn to rule” Cuomo.
But, New Yorkers don’t have to resort to paint fumes to take them out of their misery. They have Carl Paladino on their side.
In a remarkably insulting “Dear Andrew’’ letter sent to the “office of the Democratic Party’’ in Albany, Paladino also directly challenged Cuomo’s manhood and attacked his father, Mario Cuomo, who served three terms as governor from 1983-1994.
“Frankly, I don’t think you have the cojones to face me and the other candidates in a open debate,’’ wrote Paladino, citing Cuomo’s refusal so far to agree to a debate.
“Don't hide behind daddy's coattails even though he pulled strings to advance your career every step of your way. Come out and debate like a man,’’ continued Paladino, who won an upset victory over former Long Island U.S. Rep. Rick Lazio in the GOP primary last week.
“So Andrew, for the first time in your life be a man,’’ he continued.
At one point in the letter Paladino calls Mario Cuomo “a governor who left our state economy in a wreck.”
Cuomo has indicated he’ll debate Paladino and Lazio, who is expected to continue campaigning on the Conservative Party line, but Cuomo's also said that no talks have yet been held with Paladino’s campaign. Cuomo had no immediate reaction to Paladino’s harsh attack.
It’s time to for Andrew Cuomo to move out from under his daddy’s coattails for once in his life.
If New Yorkers vote for the man who can be dubbed “Mr. Ground Zero” for the sub-prime mortgage mess that occurred because people with poor credit and no assets were given loans thanks to a law known as the Community Reinvestment Act.
Andrew Cuomo as HUD secretary under Bill Clinton badgered banks to make these very risky sub prime mortgage loans to Blacks and Latinos or risk not being in complaisance with the CRA and invite harsher regulations.
Andrew Cuomo must be held to account for what he did and if New Yorkers still votes him in as governor, then we deserve what we get and it will confirm to me that I live in a state filled with liberal idiots.
