Welcome to Bamazuela

The United States of America is no more!

This has now become the land of entitlement whereby a small bureaucratic elite gets to decide how you should live your life because they know better than you do.

Gone are the days of freedom of choice because now unless government sanctions your choices, you don’t get to make your own.

Is this price worth it?

Now everybody gets health care, but what kind of care it will be?

If you decide not to buy health care, under the new rules of Bamazuala, you are branded a criminal and 16,000 new health care police working under the IRS will hunt you down, not for what you did, but what you failed to do.

Gone are the days of individual initiative because in Bamazuala, your basic needs will be provided for.

Gone are the days of dignity and self respect because in Bamazuela, its more dignified to have your hand out and keep demanding more and more because it is your right.

Don’t expect Bamazuela to be like the Shining City on the hill because you need vibrancy for that. And there’s nothing vibrant about Bamazuela because its people are half dead in their mediocrity and relativism.

That wasn’t always the case, but it is now.

America Dead at 233

America
July 4, 1776—March 21, 2010

America passed away on Sunday March 21, 2010 from complications of passing Health Care reform.

She was the glory of the entire world who for the first time in world history managed to defeat England, a superpower, for her independence.

In her very short time on earth America, through hard work, innovation and her exceptionalism grew to become the most powerful and the most generous nation in the world.
It’s the American character of hard work, initiative and free markets that set her apart.

But, America received bad news from the doctor and the diagnosis was the cancer of Liberalism. The disease grew slowly and eventually America’s character changed.

She lost her initiative and gradually the entitlement mentality that only wants somebody else to pay the freight took over. Liberals, who controlled the school system stopped teaching about America’s proud history and instead taught that America was to blame for all the worlds’ problems.

Then in 2008 while America was on life support, she elected Barack Obama who was a child of the Blame America first crowd and with his legislative pen stabbed America into becoming just another socialist democracy where initiative is punished through oppressive taxes and the do-nothings get more and more from mother government.

RIP America

She had a good run.

FACT CHECK: Premiums Would Rise Under Obama Plan

Is it too much to ask for integrity coming out of the Obama administration?

The arrogance of this president is so amazing to me. He thinks by the force of his personality that he can change the foundations upon which this country is built.
It’s not working Mr. President!

You’re lies and deception are being brought to likght faster than you can read them from your teleprompter.

Yahoo News reports:

Buyers, beware: President Barack Obama says his health care overhaul will lower premiums by double digits, but check the fine print.

Premiums are likely to keep going up even if the health care bill passes, experts say. If cost controls work as advertised, annual increases would level off with time. But don't look for a rollback. Instead, the main reason premiums would be more affordable is that new government tax credits would help millions of people who can't afford the cost now.
Obama asked his audience for a show of hands from people with employer-provided coverage, what most Americans have.
"Your employer, it's estimated, would see premiums fall by as much as 3,000 percent," said the president, "which means they could give you a raise."

A White House press spokesman later said the president misspoke; he had meant to say annual premiums would drop by $3,000.

It could be a long wait.

"There's no question premiums are still going to keep going up," said Larry Levitt of the Kaiser Family Foundation, a research clearinghouse on the health care system. "There are pieces of reform that will hopefully keep them from going up as fast. But it would be miraculous if premiums actually went down relative to where they are today."

The statistics Obama based his claims on come from two sources. In both cases, caveats got left out.
A report for the Business Roundtable, an association of big company CEOs, was the source for the claim that employers could save $3,000 per worker on health care costs, the White House said.

The budget office concluded that premiums for people buying their own coverage would go up by an average of 10 percent to 13 percent, compared with the levels they'd reach without the legislation. That's mainly because policies in the individual insurance market would provide more comprehensive benefits than they do today.

For most households, those added costs would be more than offset by the tax credits provided under the bill, and they would pay significantly less than they have to now. However, the budget office estimated that about 4 in 10 customers shopping for an individual policy would not be eligible for tax credits — and would face higher premiums on average than without the legislation.

The premium reduction of 14 percent to 20 percent that Obama often cites would apply only to a portion of the people buying coverage on their own — those who want to keep the skimpier kinds of policies available today.

Their costs would go down because more young people would be joining the risk pool and because insurance company overhead costs would be lower in the more efficient system Obama wants to create.

The president usually alludes to that distinction in his health care stump speech, saying the savings would accrue to those people who continue to buy "comparable" coverage to what they have today.

House May Try to Pass Senate Health-Care Bill Without Voting.

This country was founded on the premises of “one man, one vote”. Blood was spilled on this land in order to free ourselves from tyranny and oppression.

In 2010 we have a president and a political party—the Democrats who believe in a “soft tyranny” where government can rule by fiat and impose on it’s citizens policies and programs the citizenry openly rejects.

If President Obama and the Democrats are successful in imposing health care reform on the nation using skullduggery, bribery, and deception, then mark your colanders for the day America died!

The Washington Post reports:

After laying the groundwork for a decisive vote this week on the Senate's health-care bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Monday that she might attempt to pass the measure without having members vote on it. Instead, Pelosi (D-Calif.) would rely on a procedural sleight of hand: The House would vote on a more popular package of fixes to the Senate bill; under the House rule for that vote, passage would signify that lawmakers "deem" the health-care bill to be passed.

The tactic -- known as a "self-executing rule" or a "deem and pass" -- has been commonly used, although never to pass legislation as momentous as the $875 billion health-care bill. It is one of three options that Pelosi said she is considering for a late-week House vote, but she added that she prefers it because it would politically protect lawmakers who are reluctant to publicly support the measure.

It's more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know," the speaker said in a roundtable discussion with bloggers Monday. "But I like it," she said, "because people don't have to vote on the Senate bill."

Republicans quickly condemned the strategy, framing it as an effort to avoid responsibility for passing the legislation, and some suggested that Pelosi's plan would be unconstitutional.

"It's very painful and troubling to see the gymnastics through which they are going to avoid accountability," Rep. David Dreier (Calif.), the senior Republican on the House Rules Committee, told reporters. "And I hope very much that, at the end of the day, that if we are going to have a vote, we will have a clean up-or-down vote that will allow the American people to see who is supporting this Senate bill and who is not supporting this Senate bill."

Paul Ryan What Real Health Care Reform Should Be

As you may recall, Paul Ryan (R-Wis) called out and destroyed President Obama during the so-called Health Care Summit as to the real costs of Obama’s outrageously expensive health care reform bill.

President Obama and the Democrats are locked in a Liberal ideological belief that government is the alpha and omega of society.

In their arrogance and hunger for more power and control over people’s lives, they are disregarding the will of the American people that poll after poll shows that they do not want “government health care” which really translates into “inadequate and inefficient care” such as in countries like Canada and Great Britain.

According to Paul Ryan:

Today, the House Budget Committee is to mark up a "reconciliation" vehicle, initiating the greatest expansion in government and entitlement spending in a generation through a partisan process to push "health-care reform" across the finish line.

Despite claims of transparency and calls for a "simple up-or-down vote," there is nothing simple about this process. This convoluted legislative charade demonstrates how far the Democratic majority has wandered from real health-care reform and cost control, employing any means to achieve political victory.

Through any analytical lens, the legislation will not address the central problem of skyrocketing health-care costs. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that families' premiums could rise 10 to 13 percent; private-sector actuarial estimates top these already high numbers. The higher costs are driven by federalizing the regulation of insurance, narrowing consumers' options and reducing competition among providers. The health-care market would be dominated by government programs and the largest insurance companies, operating as de facto government utilities.

Rather than tackle the drivers of health inflation, the legislation chases the ever-increasing premiums with huge new subsidies. Already, Washington has no idea how to pay for the unfunded promises in Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security -- and creating this new entitlement would accelerate our path to fiscal ruin. When you strip away the double-counting, expose the hidden costs that must be funded and look at the price tag when the legislation is fully implemented, the claims of deficit reduction are as hollow as claims of cost containment.

This legislation includes a range of job-killing tax hikes and controls on all Americans -- to fund this new entitlement and to penalize employers and individuals who don't play by Washington's new rules.

President Obama and the Democrats want to turn the United States into a “Welfare State” because the kind of people who live their lives dependent upon government tend to vote for Democrats.

And that’s exactly what Obama’s wants, perpetual one party control like we already have in states like Californai and New York, and those states are on the verge of insolvency because those types of government are unsustainable.

Obama Administration Ignoring Pro-Life Democrats in Health Care Reform Debate

Bart Stupak

When former community organizer, Barack Obama, was state senator from Illinois, he actually defended a bill that denied medical services to babies who were survivers of botched abortion attempts.

That’s how much this president doesn’t care about the sanctity of life. Some Pro-Life Democrats like Bart Stupak want to remove the language in Obama Care that provides federal funding of abortions.

However, Obama, Reid and Pelosi are so desperate to install government run health care that they are not considering Stupak’s concerns.

National Review Online reports:

Sitting in an airport, on his way home to Michigan, Rep. Bart Stupak, a pro-life Democrat, is chagrined.

“They’re ignoring me,” he says, in a phone interview with NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE. “That’s their strategy now. The House Democratic leaders think they have the votes to pass the Senate’s health-care bill without us. At this point, there is no doubt that they’ve been able to peel off one or two of my twelve. And even if they don’t have the votes, it’s been made clear to us that they won’t insert our language on the abortion issue.”

According to Stupak, that group of twelve pro-life House Democrats — the “Stupak dozen” — has privately agreed for months to vote ‘no’ on the Senate’s health-care bill if federal funding for abortion is included in the final legislative language.

Now, in the debate’s final hours, Stupak says the other eleven are coming under “enormous” political pressure from both the White House and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.).

“I am a definite ‘no’ vote,” he says. “I didn’t cave. The others are having both of their arms twisted, and we’re all getting pounded by our traditional Democratic supporters, like unions.”

Stupak notes that his negotiations with House Democratic leaders in recent days have been revealing.

“I really believe that the Democratic leadership is simply unwilling to change its stance,” he says.

“Their position says that women, especially those without means available, should have their abortions covered.”
The arguments they have made to him in recent deliberations, he adds, “are a pretty sad commentary on the state of the Democratic party.”

Dem Rep. Lynn Woolsey: House May Pass Senate Bill Without Recorded Vote

Now we’re getting to the nitty gritty final maneuvers of the unwanted health care reform bill and Democrats are getting more devious and cowardly, even for Democrats!

An idea is floating around the halls of congress that Obama Care can be passed WITHOUT a vote.

Can anybody say UNCONSTITUTIONAL?

From ABC News:

As House Democrats press for final passage of a health care bill, a legislative scenario has emerged whereby the House wouldn't have to take a formal roll call vote to endorse the Senate version of the legislation.

Instead, the House would craft a special piece of legislation declaring the Senate bill to have been passed by the House when the House approves its package of “fixes” under the budget reconciliation process. That would spare House members of the perception of endorsing politically explosive Senate deals such as the “Cornhusker Kickback.”

On ABC’s “Top Line” today, Rep. Lynn Woolsey, co-chair of the House Progressive Caucus, said that scenario is attractive to many House Democrats who have serious reservations about the Senate bill.
“I don’t need to see my colleagues vote for the Senate bill in the House. We don’t like the Senate bill. Why should we be forced to do that?” said Woolsey, D-Calif. “But what we need to know, before any Senate bill is passed, that we have enough of the fixes that we’ve asked for, that we will be satisfied with the final product as a beginning for health care [reform].”

Incredible!

James Madison would surely turn over in his graveif the Democrats went on with this cowardly demonstration.
This is what President Obama and the Democrats bring to the table, more deception and arrogance.

Remember this?

Latest Gallop Poll: 45% Favor, 48% Oppose Obama Healthcare Plan

As more and more information about ObamaCare is learned by the American public through alternative news outlets like talk radio, conservative newspapers, Fox News, and the blogosphere, the more people reject President Obama’s desire to turn the United States into a European-style social democracy.

The people are rejecting the idea of government run health care because they all understand that government can’t run the Post Office very well.

So keep your stinking hands off our health care!

But, be that as it may, President Obama is on the campaign/deception trial misrepresenting a bill that he himself has not read.

He says the bill will cut premium costs, but he flat out is lying through his teeth, like he usually does,

Gallop reports:

As President Obama begins a final push on healthcare reform, slightly more Americans say they would advise their member of Congress to vote against rather than for a healthcare reform bill similar to the one the president has proposed.

These results, based on a new Gallup poll conducted March 4-7, confirm the generally divided nature of public opinion on healthcare legislation that Gallup has found in recent months. The high point in public support was 51% in October.

President Obama has called for a final up-or-down vote on healthcare legislation, which has dominated the domestic agenda for much of his presidency. Most of the Republican leadership in Congress would prefer that Congress begin work on a new bill rather than try to pass Obama's proposal, which is based largely on a bill the Senate passed last year with no Republican support.

The president and Democratic leaders in Congress are trying to pass healthcare legislation in the coming weeks, and if they succeed, they will likely do so by a slim margin in the House and possibly the Senate.

In some ways, this corresponds to Americans' division over the legislation, though Gallup currently finds slightly more Americans wanting their member of Congress to vote against rather than for a reform bill similar to the one Obama has proposed.

Obama Care is Already Making me Sick!

Friends have been asking me why I don't post more stories about the battle over health care reform?

The truth is, I'm sick of reading about it and especially writing about it.

This issue is the only issue Obama is about!

He doesn't care about nothing else because he wants to establish his legacy on nationalized health care.

If he can't get the public option, then bash the insurance companies, change the laws to run them out of business, and where else will the people need to go to get the health care?

Uncle Sam!

If that were to happen, what would be the difference between Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez?

Are the Obots in this country that stupid to realize if ObamaCare gets passed, this country becomes a Banana Republic?

It's not over yet, but that's not what America is all about.
