I was asked by one of my readers as to why I hadn’t said anything about Charlie Sheen. I thought about it a moment and felt what more is there to say about a life in total ruin? I try to find compelling things to write about be it political or cultural. But, Charlie Sheen is as compelling as watching any garden variety reality TV show. Maybe that’s the appeal right there? He’s become reality TV incarnate--hollow entertainment without much substance.

People may find Sheen a fascinating spectacle, but I agree with Leslie Nielsen, “There nothing to see here.”
