Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Davey Johnson, Frank Cashen Inducted into Mets Hall of Fame
Ah the days in the 80s when the Mets ruled New York. It was a fun time where it was nearly impossible to get a good seat to the games.
Davey Johnson upon his hiring by Frank Cashen thanked the Mets for having the intelligence to hire him. He was a brash young manager and so was his team that won the World Series in 1986.
Dwight Gooden was lights out dominant. Darrly Strawberry hit towering home runs. And Frank Cashen was a shrewd baseball man that put it all together.
Those were great days. And they were a great team.
